Ketos test ring is usually known as AS 5282, this ring is the simplest form of detecting defects and ensures the suitability of MPI process. Ketos test ring is a tool mainly outlined with the most MPI specifications and evaluated with MPI systems.

Ketos ring can be used in various forms like it can be mounted for the use of a headshot on a central conductor or it can also b turned into a coil centerline at 90⁰.

Ketos contains a series of holes drilled in different positions. Each hole performs a set of operations. The closer holes to the outer surface stimulate the smaller defects and the holes to the inner center stimulate the sub-surface discontinuities.

Ketos test ring provides the operator with qualitative measures for various aspects like the defect system, equipment output, and bath (particle) performance. The main purpose of Ketos ring is to check the overall performance of the magnetic particle examination system.
